It is time for our monthly Letters To Our Sons blog circles with some amazing photographers who have come together to record our stories to our sons.

Dear Darren,

There are people in this world who make you better just by knowing them.  You are one of those people.  I love to watch you enter a room and see it light up.  People gravitate towards you and your warm smile that always greets them.  Last week, you and your brother had your wisdom teeth pulled out.  It’s a procedure that leaves many apprehensive and you brought this calm to the room.  Even the staff seemed cheerier as you talked with them.  As you were coming out of the anesthesia, the doctor said you thanked him for taking care of you before you even opened your eyes.  When you came back to the recovery room, still woozy from the medicine, you asked if Matt was okay and was he here.  Your heart is so big and you have such a willingness to please others.  I have no doubt that what ever you do and where ever you go, it will be a better place because you are there.

College starts this month so as you look to start this next phase, I want to be sure you know how very proud I am of you.

Love always,

Mom xo

Please continue to travel through this blog circle of amazing women, starting with my very talented friend, Kara.

Katrina - Oh Lisa, I can feel the pride and love you have for Darren coming through this post. And no wonder! He sounds like such a wonderful guy. So many teens face that procedure with sullenness or irritation. But to thank the doctor and so quickly ask about his brother — it reveals a deeply-rooted kindness and integrity. Thank you for sharing this post with us. <3ReplyCancel

Allison - Lovely letter, Lisa. They say our kids are a direct reflection of ourselves and your heartfelt description of Darren makes me realize that your kind and loving soul has made him what he is today. <3ReplyCancel

It’s time again for  “the way I view” with my lovely Clickin Moms friends. This month’s theme is about the way I view nature.

The world is a beautiful place and there is nothing like sitting back and admiring what mother nature has to offer.  She does such a splendid job.  And there is nothing better than catpuring the moment so you can admire it over and over again.  I am recently back from traveling with my family, crossing over 5 states and enjoying 6 national parks.  It was a wonderful experience to walk alongside nature, capture it and continue to enjoy it through the many pictures that traveled home with us.

Please continue the circle around and see how my talented friend, Aimee, views nature.

Tracy - Lisa, I saw these on my phone a few days ago and, though beautiful there too, they just weren’t done justice! These are really amazing. That first image is awe-inspiring. It’s just hard to believe it’s real. You captured it so well. I also love your peek in #4. I especially love how you’ve captured the two animal shots. There’s a peacefulness in them that is unique and really fitting. I’m quite taken by them.ReplyCancel
